Getting a 33% conversion rate off Google PPC Traffic

May 4th, 2009

I had a website built recently for a new project. When we were in the design phase, I really wanted to use the entire site (not just a great landing page), to maximize conversions.

I noticed on every single one of my competitor’s sites, there were very prominent order buttons that took the user to an order form. A bland checkout page that required the user to fill out all their personal info, with no copy or imagery around to remind them that they NEEDED to fill out the form and fill it out NOW!

So, taking a lead gen approach to the order process, I decided to put an order FORM on every page of the website. My designer, Jonathan created a masterpiece. The order form stands out VERY CLEARLY in the design on every page of the website.

The conversions on those order forms is over 33% with less than a 5% drop off rate in the credit card authorization form. I put that part on a different page to convey a “look and feel” of standardized security. And I didn’t want it to look like we were begging for the credit card info.

I should also mention that the average order is around $100, too.

If you’re in the process of starting a new campaign or looking to revamp and existing one, try putting order forms on all your pages. ESPECIALLY if none of the competition is doing it.

Let me know if it works for you too.

NOTE: This is exactly how the email looked

Granted, they’ve never really flexed their “LEGAL RIGHTS” to send me email outside of their own messaging system… but this single email let me know they’re beginning testing for “high volume email deployment“.

Myspace must want a taste of the female arousal cream…..

I decided what I’m going to do…

October 9th, 2008

with jeremyestes.com.

No “groundbreaking tips” or secrets or “news” per se… just thoughts I have and ideas to come back to when I have a chance.

If you stumble upon this website while looking for ways to market your own business, please don’t take anything I say seriously. I only actually do about 1% of what I come up with, so 99% of what I say is total, untested bullshit… I’m only writing it because one day it might make sense to me.

If you do get an idea from here that makes you money…. you don’t owe me shit. I wasn’t gonna do that anyways! :)

If i can now remember what I was GOING to write before this first post…….. omg I’m a blogger now!
